Il progetto fukada tree nasce nel 2009, dall'incontro di vari elementi dell'underground cosentino che fin da subito iniziano a far germogliare i fiori di un albero raro a queste latitudini. Come un albero, l'ensamble cosentino mette le sue radici nel fertile territorio cittadino, iniziando a mostrare sin dai primi live-sets un interessante miscuglio di generi e sfumature musicali, capace di incuriosire il pubblico immediatamente. Mescolando il dub inglese, le sfumature del reggae e le atmosfere cupe del trip-hop, i fukada tree diventano ben presto una delle novità più interessanti della scena calabrese, condividendo il palco con i torinesi Dub sync ( Side project di Madaski, Papanico e Paolo Baldini) e suonando in varie situazioni in tutto il sud italia. Dall' incontro con Paolo Baldini nasce una collaborazione con i B.R. Stylers che si concretizza nel brano " Open your eyes" con la singer Michela Grena ,contenuto nella loro prima release " Inna Dub conversion", un ep di quattro tracce manifesto musicale del combo. Nonostante la recente genitura del progetto, l'albero di Fukada ha nei suoi rami la giusta dose di d'esperienza musicale per farsi conoscere , grazie alle chitarre di Francesco Spadafora ( Lucky for fun, Jovine), Le manipolazioni di Stanislao "Spike " Costabile e alla sinuosa Voce di Aram (parte del progetto Reggae Girls di SteveGiant & Bizzarri sound, ex Ganja Social Club, Taranta Terapy, Monodecibel).Vantano la vittoria del concorso M.E.I. TECH 2010 che li ha portati sul palco del M.E.I. con la Suz,e altri artisti del panorama elettronico italiano e "Desire" nella top 10 dei miglior brani emergenti 2010. Nel gennaio 2011 aprono l'ottava edizione dell'X BASS - ELECTRONIC FESTIVAL allo storico centro sociale napoletano OFFICINA 99; nel giugno 2011 partecipano alla compilation ITALIAN DUB COMMUNITY - showcase vol 3. Dopo l'ep, i Fukada sn al lavoro per comporre il loro primo Full lenght. TECH 2010, they landed to the M.E.I. stage with the Suzand other artists of the italian electronic panorama and "Desire" is in the top 10 of the bestemerging pieces 2010. In January 2011 they open the eighth edition of the X BASS- ELECTRONIC FESTIVAL at the historical community centre in Naples OFFICINA 99; in June 2011 they participate in the ITALIAN DUB COMMUNITY compilation- showcase vol.3.
